How To use Forum

The first thing you need to know is how to post. First, there are big Catagories like General and Educational issues. The sub topics under those are called boards. That is where you will post. You can click on the board that relates to your topic and that will open up all discussion on that board. Just click on of the post to read what someone else has posted. IF you find something interesting that you would like to comment on just click the little reply button on the upper right side of the screen. When you reply your post will follow the last post under that subject.
    If you want to start a new subject just click on the board that is closest to your subject matter and then click "new topic" in the upper right corner. Only the administrator can create new catagories and boards. If there is a topic or new board you would like to see just email me and let me know what you want to discuss. Lukky@dpan.net

I can't get it to let me upload a picture...it keeps saying that is not writable??? when I try to use the browse feature..so then I tried to upload from photobucket by just inserting the url or what ever this is....

I am aware of the problem. I tested it and it did the same thing for me. I am working on a fix. As soon as I figure something out I will let you know.

actually, no one brought this to my attention.  I changed your avatar to the one you provided in the link.  You may wish to resize it.  If you have anymore trouble, go ahead and post back here and I'll keep an eye on this post for the next day or two.   As you can tell, I don't visit the forum very often.

I also created a testuser account to make sure that the profile options were working and set my avatar to the same image.

Here are the steps I took for anyone else wondering:

First, to obtain the link to the image I wanted, I visited the one provided above:   http://s58.photobucket.com/albums/g280/cuzimdamommy/?action=view&current=Meandmyraiden.jpg
From here (in firefox), I right clicked the picture and chose 'View Image' from the context menu which provides me with a link directly to the image:    http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g280/cuzimdamommy/Meandmyraiden.jpg

Next, I selected profile in the options just above the forum breadcrumbs (Autism in Wichita Falls > General Category > etc...)

From this screen, on the left under "Modify Profile", there is a link called Forum Profile Information.  Click this and move the radio bullet to "I have my own pic" and paste the url that links directly to the image you want to use in the box to the right.  When you are finished, click the change profile button below and you should be all set.

Let me know if this doesn't work.

you have to scrool way down to get to the submit button and when you click on the forum with subforums you do not see the posts in that forum until you scroll down. On a 1280x800 screen The default skin ip.board pro is a little better but not much.

Now where is that submit button?

Sorry everyone we have been trying to do some cleanup on the forum and it has been crazy!! we had some people hack in and really messed up our posts and put alot of inappropriate materials out here. IF you get on and there are posts that shouldnt be here please let me know so we can get it off ASAP! Thanks for helping us keep this as a site for parents to help other parents! Heather
